The Regional - Comprehensive System of Personnel Development (R-CSPD) program provides professional development and other activities for persons in the metro area, Region 11, who work with learners with disabilities, i.e., regular and special educators, paraprofessionals, administrators, and parents. Federal funding provided for the R-CSPD program allows regional activities to be offered at minimal expense or at no cost to participants.

CSPD funding supports the following activities through the Metro ECSU:

• Training and Networks for Speech/Language, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, and Assistive Technology staff
• RIEIC Network meetings and training
• Paraprofessional conference grants awarded to districts
• Interpreter Mentor Training and staff development for interpreters
• Staff Development in low incidence disability areas
• Assistive Technology grants awarded to districts
