Continuous school improvement planning, development, implementation and monitoring is a cyclical, system-wide process that supports a systems perspective to maintaining district and school wide goal alignment. This cycle helps you improve organizational and performance practices, capabilities and results. It also helps to facilitate communication and sharing of best practices among your staff and other schools, and serves as a working tool for understanding and managing performance and for guiding organization planning and opportunities for learning.
Metro ECSU Regional Education Specialists have developed a framework (based on current research) to assist districts and schools in building internal capacity for all aspects of continuous school improvement. We will work with you and your leadership team in planned opportunities for individuals and/or teams to plan for and develop a quality improvement plan.
As a result of the Minnesota Department of Education State Program Improvement Grant (Title 1 AYP Grant), Metro ECSU is able to provide technical assistance to all districts and schools in the 7 county Metro area, Region 11, who are in a consequence phase of AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress). The links on this page provide information to those districts and schools; however, Regional Education Specialists are available to support school improvement planning in any district or school in the Metro area.
